Introduction

On the 28-29 October 1929, the American Stock Exchange at Wall Street, New York, crashed: America was thrown into financial ruin so severe that it would be called the ‘Great Depression’. There were many factors which led to the Wall Street Crash of 1929, and many of these problems originated in the boom years of 1919-1929.
