4.0 Coastal Processes and Pressures

Destructive waves attack coasts whereas constructive waves add sediment to the shore.
Wave size is determined by wind speed, wind strength how far the wave has travelled (fetch.)
As a wave breaks water surges up the beach (swash) and then returns down the beach to the sea (backwash.)
