PAPER 2 SECTION 1: DRAMA 60 MARKS

A Shakespearean Drama (answer any 2 of the 3 questions) 30 Marks

Answer two of the following questions. Each question is worth 15 marks.

1. From your reading of the extract, does it seem that Iago is in control of Othello? Support your answer by reference to the text.

Candidates could refer to:

  • Iago appeals to Othello’s ego
  • Arouses jealousy in Othello
  • Uses jealousy as a tool

Expect candidates to make several points well expressed or a global discussion well developed with supporting reference to the extract.
